DC Universe may be DOA.
DC Universe may be going the way of the dodo as WarnerMedia has laid off most of its staff according to sources, and evidently plans on incorporating the material into its HBO Max streaming service. This is coming from Hollywood Reporter who note that in-house merch manufacturer DC Direct has also shut down, and one third of DC’s editorial ranks have been cut off.
The layoffs include editor in chief Bob Harris, senior VP of publishing Hank Kanalz, VP of marketing Jonah Weiland, among others.
HBO Max has already started streaming some of the DC Universe programming including the Harley Quinn Show and Doom Patrol. The only big show it’s missing right now is Titans. No idea where their digital comics will go.
So if you haven’t watched Harley Quinn and you have HBO Max, then watch it. You have no excuses.
